this trip was sooooo much easier — no mud or rivers, a goofy jacket to keep me warm (we even saw a bigger version of me out there, and HE had a jacket on too; it’s all about keeping the shorthairs bundled when it gets cold), and a little dog bed i could curl up in without having to lay on the cold ground. don’t tell anyone, but i actually didn’t hate it this time. and i saw deer come right through the campsite!
