it’s the getting there that’s absolutely mindnumbing. stretch, yawn, sniff the air vent, stare at some passing motorists, circle in the passenger seat til you get a comfy position, and sigh. then repeat like every 10 minutes for hours and days. i make lots of great new friends at gas stations though! mostly truckers that have a dog like me somewhere, and a couple of scared mom-types that soften up as soon as my tongue gets all lolligag.
